Sidhu Joins Board of Trustees for Hamad bin Khalifa University in Qatar

Sutardja Center Chief Scientist and Founding Director Prof. Ikhlaq Sidhu has joined the Board of Trustees for Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in Qatar.

Located in Education City, Qatar, HBKU is a member of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development and delivers primarily graduate programs through its College of Science and Engineering, Law School and Public Policy, College of Public Health, Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies, and College of Humanities and Social Sciences. HBKU also pursues three research institutes: Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI), Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI), and Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI).

HBKU is a leader with its innovative interdisciplinary programs and will play a big role in transforming Qatar into a leading knowledge-based economy. As a member of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Sidhu will play a significant role in developing the university as a whole.

Prof. Sidhu also recently joined the Faculty Advisory Committee at the Lawrence Hall of Science.
