Sutardja Center Founding Director and Chief Scientist Prof. Ikhlaq Sidhu has been invited to join the Faculty Advisory Committee for the Lawrence Hall of Science. Prof. Sidhu was nominated by the Advisory Council’s Chair, Don Proctor to join.

The goal of the Faculty Advisory Committee will be to provide insight, expertise, and advice to the Hall’s Director and to help strengthen the connection with the Berkeley campus more broadly. Prof. Sidhu will help contribute expertise in areas such as data analytics, learning models, and entrepreneurship.

“Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science is the country’s only science center that is part of a top-tier, public research university. This distinctive affiliation allows the Hall to partner with world-class scientists, engineers, educational leaders, and teachers, with the goal of developing and disseminating the most innovative and effective science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs available today. Our mission is to inspire and foster science learning for all—especially for those with limited access to science.”

This message from Lawrence Hall of Science Director Rena Dorph explains well how being part of the Berkeley campus makes the Hall uniquely positioned to accomplish its mission.
