In early October, the SCET Professional Programs hosted an in-person custom program at UC Berkeley for alumni from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Framed within the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship model, the program looked closely at important new venture trends among researchers here at UC Berkeley, and among Silicon Valley investors and entrepreneurs.

UC Berkeley faculty speakers included Professor Tarek Zohdi, Associate Professor Anca Dragan, Professor Ana Arias and SCET Managing Director Ken Singer, as well as student leaders from Blockchain at Berkeley, Ratan Kaliani and Darya Kaviani. Outside speakers from industry included economist and COO Evelyn Hytopoulos from Web3 Pro, Jerry Luk, co-founder of Firework (and previously at LinkedIn), Softbank partner Linda Yu and Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and investors Shomit Ghose and Naeem Zafar. The enthusiasm, experience and intelligence that the NTU participants brought to the discussions helped make the program fun, thought-provoking and successful on all fronts. Certificates in Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship were awarded at the completion of the program.

The Sutardja Center offers open enrollment and custom professional programming in leadership, innovation and new ventures throughout the year.  For more information please visit our website.
