Keynote Speaker: Mallika Luthar
Mallika is a consultant, social entrepreneur, and DJ who has spent her career finding unexpected connections between creativity, technology, and economic opportunity.
Over the past four years, she has worked on large-scale initiatives with organizations including the Gates Foundation, designing and building solutions at the intersection of public systems and emerging technology to expand economic mobility across the United States.
Alongside her work in tech and policy, Mallika knows firsthand how hard it is to build a sustainable career as a creative. That experience led her to found B-Side Arts, an organization that equips artists with the entrepreneurial skills they need to succeed. As a natural extension of this work, she is currently building a technology startup focused on helping creators protect and monetize their intellectual property in the age of AI.
Mallika graduated from UC Berkeley in 2022 with highest honors, earning a B.A. in Political Science with minors in Public Policy and Human Rights. She also completed the Haas Certificate in Business Administration for Arts and Sciences and is a proud alumna of the program we celebrate today, the Sutardja Center Certificate in Entrepreneurship & Technology, where she later returned as a guest lecturer and mentor.
She is honored to be back and can't wait to see what this next cohort builds!
