Share your industry expertise or career experiences as a guest lecturer and raise the visibility of your organization on campus.  There are a number of opportunities, in the SCET classroom, at Venture Lab gatherings, coordinating with the SkyDeck Accelerator or as part of our by invitation,  A. Richard Newton Distinguished Innovator Lecture Series .

Since 2005 we have invited distinguished innovators to share lessons from their own successes and failures. Hosted by SCET, the lectures take place on the Berkeley campus Tuesday evenings and are part of the Entrepreneurship curriculum at UC Berkeley.  Speakers provide a 40-minute lecture followed by a Q&A session to a class of approximately 150 UC Berkeley upper division students primarily from the College of Engineering.  Recent speakers have included John Battelle, co-founder Wired magazine and Web 2.0 Summit; Carl Bass, CEO, Autodesk; Holly Liu, Kabam and Steven Sinofsky, Board Partner Andreessen Horowitz (A16Z) and former President of Microsoft, Windows.

SCET also invites key technology leaders to lecture in SCET classes – as part of our BMofE Bootcamp or to present on new technology areas or new platforms. This may relate to innovation projects the students may pursue, such as a new API for a wearable technology device or an industry perspective on the implementation of IoT.
