Global Venture Lab Summit 2016

The Next Global Venture Lab at UC Berkeley is soon approaching, January 7th and 8th, 2016. If you have not yet RSVP’d, please do so.
On behalf of Professor Ikhlaq Sidhu, Charlotta Johnson and myself, we would like to invite you to the 7th Global Venture Lab (GVL-2016) Summit to be held on the Berkeley Campus on Thursday, January 7th – Friday, January 8th, 2016.
Since our first event in 2009, GVL continues to be an extraordinary opportunity to network, learn, and share best practices among entrepreneurship centers around the world.  During this time,  our community has made significant progress on many fronts. Just this past year, a great deal has been accomplished. For example:
  • Launching the Applied Innovation Review – Online and In-print
  • The scope of GVL centers has broadened to include not only early stage small ventures, but also interactions with existing growth ventures, incubators, and innovative larger firms.
  • GVL partners are on the verge of redefining translational and applied research, creating new types of links between firm and universities.
  • We have moved from simple frameworks to mindset and global networks.

We are looking forward having a very fruitful and inspiring conversation with all of you. Some topics that will be discussed are:

  • New Models for Teaching Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • Innovation Opportunities with Industry
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship Execution Education
  • The Global Perspective
  • The Big technology, Policy, and Market Trends: What is driving change in the world.
On the last topic, it would be great to learn about some of the large trends and technology drivers that are also changing the world.  Will it be Virtual reality, block chain, …
If you or someone at your organization is interested in presenting,  please let us know no later than November 15th, 2015. Be sure to include the topic and title. Presentations may not exceed 20 minutes.
