YES! Berkeley students are strongly encouraged to apply via Summer Sessions A. There is an application process and our team will walk you through the process.
UC Berkeley students pay regular Summer Sessions pricing and may be eligible for financial aid. More information on this link.
Students affiliated with SCET Global Partner universities pay $6,300 plus fees.
All other students pay $8,000 plus fees.
*Campus housing is available to all participants but often fills up early in the year.

Students enter the U.S. on the F-1 visa as international students. Successful completion of the course awards six units of academic credit. Transcripts may be ordered separately by the student at prevailing processing fees.
SCET will provide a certificate of completion for the program.
UC Berkeley requires that students show proof of funding for the entire duration of their stay. Students need to show proof of funding of $2,100 per month for the cost of living (housing, food, etc). Students may be self-funded or have scholarships or grants.
The University requires proof of healthcare insurance. This is documented during your enrollment process.
Summer Sessions at UC Berkeley does not provide healthcare insurance for purchase, thus it is up to individual students or sponsoring organizations to document adequate healthcare insurance for the U.S.
Summer Sessions Housing is available on a first-come first-serve basis. Housing applications are due in February, so if you would like to access student housing and/or meal plans, you must apply early.

No. Students attending on F-1 Visas are not allowed to work, paid or unpaid. The program is a full-time program and the visa is only issued for academic purposes.
