As a follow on program of the IEEE Tech Industry Summit June 6-7, the Sutardja Center will hosting the IEEE Workshop for Technology and Business Challenges in IoT (Internet of Things) Deployment. The program is chaired by Prof. Ikhlaq Sidhu Chief Scientist & Founding Director, Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology with Co-chair is Michael Condry, President-Elect TEMS.
The Internet of Things is certainly an exciting new paradigm for new systems and applications from wearable devices, healthcare, connected vehicles, and many other spaces. However, just combining cheaper sensors, connectivity, and cloud-based analytics does not by itself mean that products and services can be designed, rolled out, and used. A number of intersecting business and technology challenges must be considered in taking any IoT project forward to market.
This hands on workshop will help Entrepreneurs and R&D leaders to understand methods to successfully commercialize an innovative system or product based on IoT.
