Venture Lab is an educational program offered by SCET that provides the critically needed platform for Berkeley participants to launch startup companies in the real-world setting. The SCET faculty guides Venture Lab companies in the development of business models, identification of early-stage financing, and access to the SCET network of mentors.  SCET also provides office space to approved teams at our Shattuck Avenue location in downtown Berkeley.

Industry mentors play a key role in guiding the students as they navigate from an academic to real-world, industry setting.  With advice ranging from the technical to the business aspects, mentors infuse the environment with years of experience gained through their time in industry.

Venture Lab is continually recruiting mentors into the online, virtual-SCET network that connects teams with mentors.  If you have members within your company who are interested in becoming more involved with UC Berkeley and the entrepreneurial community at SCET, mentorship may be the perfect avenue for them and a way for your company to tap into the innovation happening on a daily basis within UC Berkeley.
