SmartDrug took home the top prize at the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship Bootcamp on August 23. SmartDrug is an automatic drug development technology that gets rid of fatal side effects.

SmartDrug’s team consisted of members Arpinderjeet Singh, Ruchirangad Sharma, and Roalla Toy from UC Berkeley, Ka Wang (Frankie) Wong from Hong Kong Baptist University, and Min Chang Choi from the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology.

“The highlight of the BMoE Bootcamp was the moment we presented the proposal we worked day and night in the final presentation,” said Frankie Wong of SmartDrug. “We are proud to have successfully shaped a complex technology into a professional business presentation.”

The other finalists were MeatSpace, a camera-based multi-analyte platform for easy, at-home detection for food and water contaminants, and Shakey Wakey, a vibrating pillow alarm that effectively awakens the user without disturbing cohabitants.

Congratulations to all of the BMoE winners and participants!
