Requesting Project Ideas for Data-X

posted in: undergraduate classes | 0

Do you have data, a problem, or an idea worth trying?

If so, you may have a project suggestion for students who take Data-X starting in January. Projects might include almost any data related software application from any useful tools; data projects for social impact, venture concepts, or projects that can be helpful within a firm.

Please share your idea and/or contact information here for students to think about and/or contact you at the link below:

Data-X is a Course on Data, Systems and Signals. It is a technical course that teaches students to use foundational mathematical concepts and current computer science tools to create data-related applications and systems for real world problems. The course covers the tools and skills that are being used to reinvent today’s applications and enterprises.

Computer science tools for this course include tools such as Python with NumPy, SciPy, pandas, SQL, NLTK, Scikit-Learn, and TensorFlow. Math concepts include filters, prediction, classification, transforms, markov state, network graphs, and deep learning. The course allows students to build a project with components that collect, combine, store, use, analyze, visualize, and communicate with the rest of the world.
