The Spring 2016 Delta Prize Finalists have been selected and represent some of the best entrepreneurial talent Berkeley has to offer. The teams are launching new ventures in a wide range of domains, including neuroscience imaging, next generation air quality monitoring, and digital marketing. The teams will benefit from a match with mentors in our network, including Kun Gao, co-founder and CEO of CrunchyRoll. The Sutardja Center and the CITRIS Foundry will be providing a core curriculum of curated workshops from WilmerHale (legal), Founder.org (operations), Silicon Valley Bank (venture capital outlook), and FactoryX (rapid prototyping), along with office hours with leading venture capitalists. The teams that make the most progress by April 2016 will share a cash prize of $15,000. Company descriptions are below:

Caseforge strives for improved research and patient outcomes by eliminating motion during MRIs and guaranteeing placement consistency across treatment settings during radiotherapy in a comfortable, fast, and simple way. We achieve these goals with a patented case that is customized to precisely fit individuals and machines at negligible cost and with minimal process disruption.

ChemiSense develops advanced air quality monitors that provide actionable insights on all the major components that make up air pollution. We were able to create this solution for the first time by developing a sensor array which leverages our own proprietary technology. By treating all of the sensors as connected devices, we provide real-time insight, information, and analytics to the commercial health space.
