The Anthony DiPrinzio Innovation Champion Award Presented at Collider Cup XVIII

The annual Collider Cup XVIII served as the distinguished venue for presenting the Anthony DiPrinzio Innovation Champion Award and celebrating the legacy of Anthony DiPrinzio, a 2019 alumnus. The award is supported by the Anthony DiPrinzio Entrepreneurship Endowment, established in 2025 to foster innovation initiatives at Berkeley. This honor recognizes a student from the SCET community who demonstrates extraordinary contributions to the campus innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, mirroring Anthony’s own visionary leadership and passion for empowering others.

The 2026 Anthony DiPrinzio Innovation Champion Award was proudly presented to Ayushi Deokule, a student who exemplifies the ‘scholar-citizen’ spirit Anthony DiPrinzio championed. Ayushi is recognized for balancing rigorous academics with high-impact leadership, serving as a foundational pillar for SCET. Her contributions include managing the SCET AI Summit, which brought Berkeley’s technical frontier face-to-face with industry leaders from Google, Meta, and Perplexity. Furthermore, as the lead facilitator for the ‘Innovators in Residence’ DeCal, her ‘outstanding professionalism’ and dedication have been instrumental in institutionalizing mentorship and empowering her peers to successfully navigate the entrepreneurial journey.

A highlight of the Collider Cup XVIII event was the presence of the DiPrinzio family, Angela, Nick and Tony, as well as Anthony’s friends, who attended the ceremony to recognize this meaningful tribute. The family offered moving remarks on stage, sharing their pride and ensuring that Anthony’s inspirational vitality, work ethic, and passion for empowering others will continue to motivate the next generation of Berkeley innovators.
