The Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology (SCET) is a global innovation hub headquartered at UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering where aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators take deep dives into the world of technology entrepreneurship and embark on the path to develop exciting new ventures. The Center is currently seeking Course Coordinators for our Spring 2024 classes.

Duration: Spring 2024 Semester (Appointment dates: 1/9/2024-5/0/23)
Time Commitment: average of 10-20 hours a week
Pay Rate: $18
Location: In person
Course Coordinators will support accomplished industry instructors and their curriculum and will get exposure to successful industry professionals and entrepreneurs. Specific responsibilities will vary by class and instructor. Course Coordinators assist instructors with class administration including, but not limited to, communication with students, SCET staff and class guests; and assistance with managing enrollment, preparing course materials, coordination in class and bCourses administration. This is not a GSI/TA position and does not include instruction or grading.

Note that Course Coordinators must be available to be in-person during the time of the class and they cannot be enrolled in the class for which they are assisting. This is an hourly position and there is no tuition remission. Course coordinators will also be required to attend orientation prior to the start of the term, along with monthly course coordiantor trainings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills and administrative experience
- Candidates must be reliable, flexible and professional
- Interest in technology entrepreneurship
- Completion of at least one SCET class preferred, but not required
Student jobs are restricted to UC Berkeley students who are registered for the current academic semester, or in the grace period immediately before or after academic semester registration (grace period defined as a semester or summer, whichever is before or after the period of enrollment). International students can refer to the International Office website for additional details on employment eligibility.
