Changes to Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 Global Programs in response to COVID-19
Every year, we look forward to welcoming international students to UC Berkeley for our spring and fall programs at the Sutardja Center. Empowering innovators to positively change the world is what drives us forward. However, given the growing concerns around COVID-19, and following campus guidelines, we’ve made the decision to postpone the in-person component of the Startup Semester and the Le Bridge Fellows programs for the Fall of 2020.
We remain committed to our programs and our global community, as well as helping students to grow their network and to learn the mindset of successful entrepreneurs. This is why we are currently exploring other ways to interact with potential students and researchers in the coming months as we prioritize the health and safety of our students, employees, and everyone who comprises the SCET community. Any student accepted for the spring term will be automatically deferred to the fall when we will resume our on-campus schedule.
Students interested in the Fall 2021 semester should consider applying no later than March 31, 2021, to avoid potential visa application backlogs at local consulates and embassies.
