Over 75 ELPP Alumni attended our mixer event at Ericsson in San Jose on June 4th.  Ericsson offered a guided tour of their Experience Center, which demonstrates the many applications their technology has enabled.  Erik Ekudden, CTO, Ericsson in Silicon Valley and Head of Ericsson Group Technology Strategy, welcomed the group and spoke on the next generation of wireless – 5G.

Professor Sidhu also welcomed the group, commenting how nice it was to see so many who have been a part of the program over the past 5 years and discussed with the group the many ways in which ELPP alumni can continue to learn and stay connected.  Our guest speaker for the evening, Naeem Zafar, Entrepreneur, Educator, Author, CEO and Business Adviser on Strategy, spoke on 8 Essential Skills for Accelerating your Career, and a very big hit, as he added his wit and energy to career advice, honed over his many years in the tech industry.

Finally, all greatly appreciated the gracious hospitality of our hosts at Ericsson, including ELPP alumnus Ali Khayrallah, as well as the many hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.   A memorable evening was had by all, and another alumni mixer is already being planned for fall, where we will continue our discussion on ELPP Alumni staying connected.
